Soldiers say thank you for care packages
Heard from my husband today. He's still in pain but happy to be coming home.He starts his journey home on the 20th.

He wanted me to tell everyone that soldiers have come up to him to pass along an added "THANK YOU" to "those wonderful friends of your wife" for caring about them and sending packages.
Truly, you guys have been a blessing. SoCalDem, you're awesome!!!!

and to the person sending to Cranmer, to let you know how touched he was and that "they send packages that rock!"

Thank you, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. That's very nice
I remember reading about your husband coming home on a short leave, but did he get hurt in the meantime? How does that affect your plans?

2. Yes. He was sick and then his driver wrecked
injuring his knees. He's recovering and will have to see the doctor again once stateside. My plans are to let him sleep, eat and be merry.

3. YIPPEE!!
I sent a package to Cranmer! :bounce: I wonder what he liked. :bounce:

Please let us know when your husband arrives home. I know you will be busy with other things but I've been thinking about both of you and I want to know when he arrives safely home.

and that he really enjoyed everything.

Thank you for your well wishes and your kindess!!!

I'm going to talk my husband into posting on DU when he gets home and I'll shout from the rooftops once he gets in to let everyone know.

8. Who knows
 Some used books, a magazine, a cardgame, some toiletries and some snacks. Nothing major. I just think he's a nice man and appreciates that we're thinking of him.
