So, my resume is like one and a third of a page.......
Should I pad it to make it two pages or cut it down to make one, or leave it be?

3. One really impressive page
I'd prefer that to two pages fluffed out, were I hiring.

6. I disagree, depends on your level
and the length of your career. If you're under 30 one page is usually right.

7. No, no...more than one is fine as long as all the entries are good ones
Depending on your age...if you have a job or two that are not relevant to what you are looking for then take them out, otherwise the old adage about one page only really doesn't apply- as long as you aren't still in your 20s.

11. If you go longer than one page call it a C.V.
and include EVERYTHING you've done even the little odd-ball jobs and time fillers, just so they know what the gaps in full employment are.

However, then you should only send it to people who request a CV.

But a resume is one page long.

12. Leave it as-is
It's okay to have more than one page on your resume these days, especially if you've been in your field for more than ten years.

13. it depends on the target.
Government positions (in my experience) want to see more detail, so more than one page is good. Other (private) places don't want to spend more time so they prefer 1 and only 1 page.

Do what you will with my experiences.

:D

14. Stretch it to 365 pages
You won't get the job, but you'll wind up in some HR exec's speech somewhere.

One page, unless you are a scholar, scientist, or some top authority applying for a highly specialized field where a detailed listing of your qualifications is relevant.

15. On the bottom two-thirds of the second page,
you should attach a picture of your bare ass.

Just to see if they're paying attention, mind you.

16. My first reaction is to consider being creative with it
and make your resume a newspaper layout, printed double-sided. The headline and filler, with a picture here and there will easily get you to the two pages goal.

Of course, someone will likely come along and totally shitcan this idea, but if I wanted a job in Newspaper editing, I'd consider it.

17. One page because staples and paperclips jam the shredder.
That's what one of my bosses used to say.
