2. Well, you'll want to start by

fabricating the CCD (charge coupled device), an array of several million transistors. If you have the time, you can fabricate every transistor yourself; here's what each one should look like:



Now, if you don't want an 8,000-year project, or a digital camera that's the size of an aircraft carrier, you can always buy a pre-made model. It'll fit in your shirt pocket, and probably work a little better...
