Didn't you see the huge disclaimer at the beginning saying the characters are entirely fictitious, etc.??? Hahahaha....
Seriously, I just love how closely they duplicated the video of Geraldo drawing the map in the sand.
Would it make me a bad person if I tuned in just to watch the Geraldo-type character get shot?*
*I'm not saying I did, mind you, that was merely hypothetical and any similarity to my actual motive was coincidental and unintentional.

10. Well it really is a composite of a bunch of characters. . . |
|
. . .this character is anti-war, I think Geraldo supported this war.

12. Can't stand that show |

I really hate that one cop who always makes some wise-ass comment while standing over the corpse at the beginning of the show.

13. I founf it very, very disturbing *SPOILER* |
|
The guy telling the "truth", (even using Michael Moore's words from his Oscar Acceptance speech), turns out to be the bad guy, staging his own shooting for self-promotion.
I thought it was a dispicable episode, designed to pull the rug out from under us war protesters.

14. Having seen the whole thing, I agree Finnfan |
|
Some great shots were taken at the war and its sponsors but in the end the antiwar reporter was shown to be the "bad guy". What a crock. Still, the show took some chances...too bad they flubbed it in the end.

15. Look at the big picture of current TV... |
|
JAG, NCIS, Law and Order, etc. Tell me what you think.
JAG: supported the repeal of the Posse Commitatus Act, generated extreme suspicion toward anyone who objects to the current "war".
NCIS: supported the idea that "eco-terrorists" would gladly wipe out a boats crew in order to further it's "save the whales" enviromental agenda. In the beginning of the episode, the "head" of the NCIS was speaking to a gate guard (in re: a picket line): "Why don't you just shoot them all?". The guard responded: "I've been tempted".
Law and Order: A strong idictment against the First Amendment.
You are going to see a lot more of this if Wolf and Bellisarius have their way.

17. I didn't think the end was that bad |
|
I took it as more of slam against sleezy reporters like Geraldo than an indictment of the First Amendment. I liked the exchange at the end between McCoy and the DA. The DA says 'Informed people supported this war." and McCoy says "Who were they informed by?" I took that as a slap at both Bush and the way the media lets him get by with his lies.
They took plenty of other good swipes at Bush and the military before they got to that so I suppose it was an effort to balance it. They always like to have some kind of twist at the end. I think if the intent was to go pro-war at the end they would have left out the stuff about the tatoos on the soldier's right and left arms...Tatoos that supposedly everyone in his unit get. That was a complete turn off on the military in general for me. Does anyone know if any units actually do something like that?
(For those who didn't see the show, the tatoo on the right arm said something like "Our business is killing" on the left arm was "Business is good." )
