Why is Dr. "House" getting meaner on the show? |
|
I might have to tape him instead of "Commander in Chief" which I think is well written. I also taped the wonderful movie "The Jerk" so when I go home I can watch both of them! (Oh, and "Rockford" too which is on the Chicago station).
Anyway, I think that cute married doctor and the young female doctor might have their sights set on each other. (Sorry, I'm bad at names, even fake ones.)

1. He's the same amount of mean. |
|
It's for comedic effect, I think. Did ya see when he let that guy hit the floor and then said "Clean up on Aisle 3?" I loved it. He's always like that. I think the young female doctor (Cameron) is sort of weird. The cute married on DOES seem to look at her that way, doesn't he?

2. Only seen it a couple times, |
|
was really surprised to see Hugh Laurie, a British actor, doing a flawless American accent. It was weird to see him playing an unshaven, somewhat mean, overworked doctor, as I will always remember him as Bertie Wooster in the Jeeves series we had on Masterpiece Theatre a few years ago - playing a perfectly-shaven, light and silly man of leisure! I must admit I like Wooster better than House!

How does an actor with a British accent manage to talk like someone from Ohio is beyond me. Michael Cain did the southern accent in that Civil Rights era movie "Hurry Sundown" or some such movie with Jane Fonda. It was pretty good.

4. I was a huge Blackadder fan |
|
So I watched that show too out of curiosity to see how he pulled off a drama -- as an American.
He does it very well, as it turns out. I hope they have Stephen Fry on as a guest sometime. That would be fun.

Maybe as a blue blood or the Prince and Bertie House has to save him.

8. I only have two things to say: 1) He's the same; 2) She should be NUDE |
|
NUDE I tell you, NUDE!! I hate American prudishness that keeps these excessively, goddess-like beautiful women in clothes. Fuck that - if a woman (or even a guy) has a body to kill for, they should be allowed (maybe even required) to show it.
She's too beautiful to waste clothes on. It's like putting the Mona Lisa behind a lead wall.
We need smiley of a guy pulling at his collar to cool himself off.
