1. Talk about a hillbilly fashion show they all look like they come

from a wax-museum of horror.

I think it's pretty obvious by now that Pickles has ZERO fashion sense.

6. No, she has negative fashion sense.
There are wrist length kid gloves which wouldn't bunchup over her sleeves.

The diamond necklace is a new touch, though.

7. Reminds me of the "Clampetts in London"
Not to offend "Beverly Hillbillies" fans everywhere.

W to Queen: "I didn't bring my Crown... you think this Queening stuff is tough you should try being King of the World."

2. It looks like they placed the wax figure of Queen Elizabeth
from Madame Tussaud's into that pic . She looks frozen and too pale . Pickles too ! Goodness for Phillip . They all look so uncomfortable . Just one more day , one more day and this charade will be over .

8. I have never seen such an uncomfortable group of people in my life .
I predict Queenie and Phillip spending the rest of the year at Balmoral . She looked happier when she dropped the puck at an ice hockey game in Cananda recently . She looks as if Charles brought Camilla into the palace .

and then messes it up with those gloves. Maybe the queen loaned them to her. I'm sure the Queen is getting a good laugh.

11. sorry about the ice water
but formal, white-tie state dinners require the males in white-tie and tails; ribbons and sashes, optional...and the females in long gowns to wear WHITE GLOVES. Dems da rules of dis particualar game...

13. The sartorial dictat for white tie dinner is:
Short-sleeved/sleeveless dress: long white gloves. Wearing rings/bracelets/watches/knuckledusters etc over gloves = very bad form

Long-sleeved dress: gloves strictly verbotten: looks a tad too surgical.

Jewellery: white tie state dinner always means tiaras (for the women)
even if it's borrowed/stolen just for the occasion

This has always ben the form.

17. so both dames ignored the rule book!
Geeze...between them, each with dozens in staff to attend to every personal need, you'd think they'd get it right. I mean, Betty Windsor's been doing this for 50 years as monarch and who knows how long before that as a princess. And why is the Queen carrying a purse into the dining room of HER OWN HOUSE?

12. I think the essential problem
is that she's following fashion "rules" that are not longer correct or don't work. She doesn't wear shapes that flatter her figure, first off. Then she does things like the picture above, gloves that are too long in the wrist for the sleeve length of her dress.

One reason Jackie Kennedy looked so fabulous was that she worked so closely with a major fashion designer, Oleg Cassini. And, in fairness, Mrs Kennedy was tall and slender with a model's figure. Not sure how tall Mrs Bush is, but she's somewhat dumpier. But she doesn't dress for the figure she has. I really wish either the British or American version of "What Not To Wear" would grab her off the street. I would just LOVE to see the scene where they analyze the current wardrobe with the use of a 360 degree mirror.

16. I love the dress
But, honestly, those gloves look so WRONG.

And I'd say to hell with fashions dictates; I wouldn't wear 'em. I can see it if she had bare arms but not with that dress.

And now I'm upset at myself for having dissed Laura again. I know it's wrong but I can't help myself. :D

Pickles breasts are sagging to her waist. A good bra would lift those back up to where they belong.
