Class Struggle
I'm trying to get hold of the board game "Class Struggle". I know that this was produced in the US, but I don't know if it was ever available in the UK. BTW, Has anyone ever played it? I've looked on e-bay but it, to be honest, I would like one of the DUers here to let me know what it was like before I try to purchase it.

(I have very bad feelings about e-bay. Don't really want to go there)

1. I own a copy
It is hard to find -- harder to possess. But it is a great board game.

Can you give me some more details? What's the aim of the game, etc.

Thanks

5. The aim is simple
Get to the final goal -- world socialism -- without blowing up the world or the movement getting crushed.

3. Hee, me too
Hey Martin, I've got one too, bought it in 1983. I don't know how life in the basement has left it, but I've still got it.

BTW, have you ever read Bertell Ollman's book "The Name of the Game is Class Struggle: True Confessions of a Marxist Businessman" (1983, William Morrow)? Its about him and his buddies deciding to make this game based on Marxism and then all the incredible hassle it took to get the game produced. OMG it is hilarious, very enjoyable.

4. Haven't read the book, unfortunately

I keep my copy of the game on the bookshelves at home. It belongs with my Marx, IMO.

BTW, are you the same "ajacobson" who ran for state rep. in 2002 (10th district)? If so, we know each other -- though you probably don't recognize my name.
