6. Look at the bright side.
That's not something you can just buy off the rack at most stores. (Thanking whatever deity is in charge of such things.)

17. WHY???
She can't possibly like that material. It looks like what's on the old couches people put on their porches around here.

11. No one dresses the Bushes
George wears $1500-$2000 custom suits; any halfway decent men's clothier has stuff hanging on the rack, right now, that would look better on him.

Laura is a disaster. Nothing's right. Her hair's about six inches too short, her makeup is all wrong and her clothes look like they come from the Jesus Free Store. (Come to think of it, Dubya's makeup sucks too. He's probably like a little kid getting his first haircut when he's in the chair; the fidgeting he does makes the artist think, "okay, kill the shine on his face and I'm out of here." No way we should have seen the "pretzel" bruises; you can fix that easy on someone halfway cooperative. Didn't anyone ever tell Dubya that appearing on television is in the job description of a modern president?)

12. Maybe campaign '04 should be about fashion
Just keep running ads on the clothes the Bushes wear and maybe America will finally understand that these guys are mediocrities.

16. She's trying to follow in Jackie's footsteps
But keeps getting it wrong. Jackie Kennedy famously redecorated the White House in a historically elegant way but most of the decor was eventually relegated to the White House basement. Laura apparently discovered the remnants & has been recycling them--upholstery fabric for daytime, draperies for evening wear.

She needs to find an American designer to make her look good. She's not an ugly woman by any means.

Perhaps Trinny & Susannah of "What Not To Wear" could drop by while she's in Britain? After all, an episode of "Faking It" was just filmed in Buckingham Palace--"Reporter to Footman in 30 days--even the experts were fooled!"
