2. Pickles is saying, "No, idiot, don't worry - it's mostly pictures,
so you won't have to risk learning anything. The Queen knows the depths of your stupidity. That's why it's not Chaucer, you Jackass. Not that you know what I mean when I say 'Chaucer'. You know, books don't have to have pictures to be good - in fact many of the best books have no pictures at all, just words. But, what the hell, take the book and look at the pretty pictures, and I'll just die a little bit more inside today."

4. I saw Bush giving a speech on CSPAN in England
In his speech he was commenting on how our Founding Fathers "read too much Locke." The look on his face was priceless. It was pretty clear that he was just mouthing the words and didn't have a clue about who the hell John Locke was.

6. He was probably referring to the Enron Founding Fathers
the ones who sailed to the US on the Titanic?

7. O gawd please please let me be her fashion advisor..
I'd even do it for free. As a service to my fellow countrymen and women.
It's not just the fabric that's awful.
The color is wrong, the cut is horrible, the awful buttoned-up-to-the chin collar is horrible, the waist on the dress is too high, the bottom flares out awkwardly, the pockets are in the wrong place, her boobs look like they've been squashed (she's probably not wearing the correct size bra), and the dress and her highlights combine to make her look like she has jaundice.
(and that's just the beginning)

I just can't take it anymore! Please Laura, let me help you!

11. God knows he needs help in that department!
My guess is that she is playing the role of 'conservative librarian good ol wifey First lady' and her clothes are trying to reflect that she is just like all the other middle-aged wives who shop at Dress Barn. See, Laura is just like you! We're not pretentious...

We know everything she wears to public occassions is carefully picked out in advance, so it *can't* be a coincidence that all her outfits on this trip have been frumpy and boring.
