Check out Miss Ireland, 2003; Daughter of singer Chris De Burgh:

Rosanna Davison.
YOWZA!

Chris De Burgh is my favorite singer, so I've followed the doings of Rosanna since she was born in 1984. She was the result of an ectopic pregnancy, which nearly killed her mother, Diane. The surgeons at London's Rotunda Hospital saved both of their lives. De Burgh wrote the song 'For Rosanna' on his "Into The Light" album in gratitude. (It was overshadowed by 'The Lady In Red' from the same album.) He's been a benefactor of the Rotunda Hospital ever since.

My, my. Rosanna has grown up nice!

7. When you see the father, you ask: "How?" Then you see the mother
and say: "Oh!

"

Diane Davison was Chris De Burgh's inspiration for "The Lady In Red"

14. I don't think Rosanna's a natural blond.
I've got a fan photo somewhere taken when she was seven or so. The whole family is together, dressed in red, to commemorate his biggest hit, and Rosanna has lovely, long dark hair. Oh well, nothing says a girl can't change her hair color if she wants to.

15. I wouldnt know dude
Actually interestingly enough, my hair when I was a toddler and preteen was like light brown or dirty blonde, now I am like a dark brown almost black but people dont change from that to blondes I think. I like dark hair more, maybe thats because thats what I have :D but I like the more eastern look :D as in eastern european.

12. I know what you mean, jellybean.
I've got CdeB's biographical book, with Rosanna's baby pictures in it. God, I feel so old sometimes. Being a grandfather doesn't help, either.

8. I am a HUGE Chris DeBurgh fan

I started listening to him in the mid-80's. MTV played a video of "Don't Pay the Ferryman" and "Ship to Shore" and I was hooked. Of course, MTV played those videos about twice each in total, but still.

19. Being a Chris De Burgh fan in the US is like being an oxygen fan on
the moon. Pretty lonely.

I still get blank looks when I mention my favorite singer. "Who?"

You know, 'The Lady In Red'.

Oh. Him.

I've been a fan since 1982, when my dad came home from a business trip to Germany, where CdeB has a huge following. He was raving about this singer, and waving copies of the "Crusader" and "Best Moves" albums. I listened, and was instantly hooked. I've got nearly all of his albums, an autographed 45rpm single of "TLiR", and I saw him live at a rock festival in Ireland. He's amazing.

And blessed with a beautiful family, as well.

18. Actually, her ancestry is rather stellar.
She's related to Richard the Lionheart on both sides of her family, related to Baldwin De Burgh, who was knighted personally on the battlefield by Richard himself; related to Hubert De Burgh, who was mentioned by name in William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, and to General Sir Eric De Burgh, a figure from the Boer War.

That's some family tree!

22. Well, Baldwin de Burgh was awarded lands in Ireland by Richard I
as a reward for his service in the Crusades. The villages and lands were known as 'burgs' or 'burghs', which is how the name came to be. Most of the rest of Chris De Burgh's ancestors were British. It gets pretty tangled, actually. His mother was Irish and his father was an Australian-born Brit who was an ambassador in Argentina when Chris was born.

23. aha!
I thought so. Many of these types. I am not sure what I am, but I think I am Celtic because I think Norman names like Fitzgerald or whatever generally have Fitz or something. BTW my nana's last name is Keown so if any of the other Irish here wanna tell me what that makes me, it would be good to help out, and the family was from Galway I think. Still shes cute.
