Anyone else here a fan of the movie "Lone Star"?

Chris Cooper, although in a stoic role, was brilliant as the sheriff and son of a dead popular sheriff, in a small Texas border town.
A very underrated movie IMHO.

... there wouldn't be any papers getting marked that evening, you can bet!

Beautifully-done film, and one of the best endings ever. It made me want to see more of Sayles's work (which I didn't even know about until a couple of years ago).

I donated a DVD copy to the local library last year, and they really appreciated it -- it's either been out or on hold, ever since then.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE!

We saw it in the theaters,and then bought the laserdisc......this was before DVD's......

One of the BEST movies EVAH!

Since that time, we nearly always catch Chris Cooper's movies.....

3. Sayles films have great ensemble casts.

Did anyone else see The Brother from Another Planet. Quite surprising, quirky, and very memorable.

And it featured another Sayles regular, Joe Morton.


And don't forget Elizabeth Pena.

4. Good Movie

Christopherson doe evil well
