Sun Ra from movie (Space is the Place). A friend of mine played one of the two teen/early 20's guys that "save" Sun at end of movie. Clarence Brewer is his name. Got tons o Sun myself. You have a favorite period?

Love the big band stuff. Sun Songs is incredible, IMO. Great pieces, brilliant ever-so-discordant charts, and a flat out incredible sound stage for a two mic recording.

Like you, I'm on the fence a bit. By Atlantis, it's a touch too far out for me. But the early sixties I really dig: Angels and Demons, Nubians of Plutonia, Futuristic Sounds, etc.
