My things
When my house was buglarized they took my belongings. What happened to them?

Were they sold or pawned? Or did the robbers use my computer to find personal info about me and try to engage in identity theft?

1. No, but if you have
autologin to sites (like this one, or god forbid a bank), you may find activity that you are not responsible for.

Cheers
Drifter

2. Good Point
Never have your computer save account numbers and passwords. Delete all of your cookies frequently.

4. smaller appliances
like the DVD player were probably sold. Light portable stuff is easy enough to unload if you're a thief who needs quick cash.

The heavier stuff like the computer (desktop model?) can be scanned for useful personal info, after that, usually dumped.

The idea here is that although you steal it, you want to unload it as fast as possible.

Sorry for all your troubles, jacinto.

6. Im sure the gangbangers have hackers
They most likely took in their hacker gangmembers to check out your computer.

Those gangs these days are quite the computer nerds

8. You can check with your ISP
to see if the connection you had set up has been used. If it was a dialup connection, they can give you the phone number it was used from. Not sure if the big ISPs will do this but I work for a small ISP and we do.
