Good Sunday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Boy, I had a strange night last night. I guess I fell asleep on the couch around midnight with the TV on, because I kept having these dreams that I was in all these TV programs and was interacting with all the people in them. I woke up briefly several times and the show that was on was the one I was dreaming about! It was the weirdest damned feeling. So now, of course, my neck hurts like hells cause I didn't have a pillow and I don't feel like I slept at all. x(

I hope all you Nighthawks had a better night than me! :bounce:

1. Good morning Clint!
I'm sorry to hear you had strange dreams and slept poorly.

As to my night it's been mostly fine. I'm about to be logging off, but I'm glad I didn't miss you. :-)

I'm glad I didn't miss you either! Dreams are strange and I have had some DOOZYS in the past! You'd laugh your ass off at me if you heard some of them. You aren't getting ready to go to work are you...because you know...it's Sunday.

I've been here since 10pm Saturday, and I'll be here until 10am. Then I'll be back for another 12 hour shift at 10pm tonight. :puke: No rest for the wicked . Still, there are far worse jobs I could be doing.

Would you like me to come up there and spank that manager of yours and then show him/her how to schedule? I'd be glad to, you know! I do the schedule for our store all the time and I could teach him/her a thing or two about a thing or two!

7. Thanks, but I actually need the 12 hour shifts
I have to cram 36 hours into the weekend so I can get benefits. This agency pays 100% for health and dental, whereas my other one would charge over $100 a month for it (plus they have a stinkier plan to boot). I also get more money that way, so the suffering has its benefits.

21. The inside temps are between 66 and 68 now.
We may wind up with all 4 birds in the same room before the house warms up again.

I hope it's something simple. We've replaced everything except the chimney for the furnace. I had that cleaned two years ago and the sweep said we would need an insert pipe at some time in the future because the fumes from burned oil are corrosive. Sometimes old chimney will collapse inward.

Last year the first frost came one month earlier. But you never can tell, even the climate we live in is called 'mediterrean'. And we only get snow for one day normally. But two years ago, we did have a long and hard winter - so let's see ...

26. Actually
I miss the snow sometimes. I grew up where we always had lots of snow in the winter, and there was nothing better than to have a late night walk through falling snow. The street lights let the whole scenerey glow in some orange color, and it was like walking in a cloud. This I do miss.

28. I know the feeling...
I grew up in Missouri, and I used to go out at night during a snowfall too. It was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful. I got over that though...snow is pretty until you drive on it and it turns into wet slush and then freezes at night and you can't go anywhere after that.

it's only really beautiful when it's fresh. And of course, only walking, no driving. :scared: But I really liked how the falling snow made everything so quiet by absorbing all the sounds.

17. Morning Clint!
I fell asleep on the couch at midnight too! Same thing, I feel like I didn't sleep at all and my back hurts. However, I dreamt that I was in Las Vegas (never been) in a motel room, with my arms wrapped around a woman I always wanted. It sorta depressed me though, because I doubt I'll ever see her again and I just recently have gotten over her. Now I'm hungry. Food will make me forget about it all. And, coffee. :)

I hope the rest of your day turns out better. :) :donut:

I may actually just make my own. I have some pretty good coffee too.

Oh, just the network ones typically. This Week, Face The Nation and Meet The Press. I also watch the Mclaughlin Group on PBS. Most of these shows don't provide too much info, usually nothing I didn't know from reading already, but they are useful to hear politicians say certain things. Usually pretty stupid things, haha.

I decided to grab some coffee for the helluvit while I was there. It's bad! I'm going to brew my own stuff.

I was watching Indecision 2004 last night by The Daily Show. It had all the shows from both Republican and Dem Conventions, plus the extras had a few debates, election night and some different interviews and other segments from the correspondents. It's so hilarious! I about died laughing. I recommend that DVD if you can either buy or rent it. Great stuff.

That makes sense! Make sure you wear gloves and a mask! When one of our daughters moved out ... packrat AND then-slob ... my husband wouldn't let me go into her room before he cleaned it up. There was a wet bathing suit in a zip-loc bag in the dresser drawer that had been there for at least 4 months. Ewwww! Took us a long time to get the smell out. There were other things, too. She kept the room looking good "on top", so it's not like it looked bad if we just stuck our heads in and peeked. What a surprise!
