What is more boring than an awards show? A Canadian awards show |

Ben Mulroney and Mark Critch? What a star studded event!!!! Maybe Brent Butt will show up?? Will Bubbles make a cameo???
Im watching the Gemini awards, its like the Emmys but less funny and more Canadian.

2. Maybe Mike Bullard will do a walk-on. |

He's so original and funny.
I kind of like the Geminis. I've even attended in-person. They're borderline surreal in a CBC-masturbatory way.
I particularly enjoy when cancelled shows win awards.
And the one year when the actor who played "The Trouble with Tracey"'s husband was honoured posthumously, after sleepwalking over a highrise balcony railing.

I don't think she's been on that show for 2 years.

so I get CTV, CBC, Global, plus a few french channels. They play lots of American shows, and I noticed that the Canadian produced shows (like CSI-type knockoffs) have a weird pacing, and are kinda boring. But I don't have cable, so I appreciate being able to watch The Daily Show on CTV for free. They also don't edit the movies for language and sex as badly as they do on the US channels. My boyfriend likes watching the sex on the french channels late at night too.

There are a couple of cop type shows I'm thinking of. I remember seeing one where they were supposedly visiting the FBI building in Washington DC, but the flag that was flying on the building was a 48-star flag from more than 50 years ago. I got a good laugh from that.
(The 48-star flags are easy to spot, because the stars all line up in a perfect grid. The current flag's stars are offset on each row.)

7. The CBC has probably been using that flag for 50 years |
|
I bet every show with an american flag is using that one.

I have an extra flag. Maybe I should send it to them.
