and couldn't bitch about it then, how stupid stupid stupid was Chimpy when he finally deigned to appear on Letterman way back during that campaign? He made some lead balloon joke about tying up Dave's chest wound to make some idiot sequiter about being a "uniter."

Does anybody still have a link to that transcript?

I assumed at the time that the RoveMatic 2000 did everything to avoid Shrubby going on Late Night and getting his lunch handed to him by Dave, who no doubt wouldn't agree to softball him like ChinBoy.

Just as the crowd used to do when they would show videotape of Letterman running, I can only raise my fist and yell "Go Dave!"

you can tell he enjoyed telling the clinton/monica jokes cuz it was just so damn ridiculous.

but i think the reason he enjoys telling the chimpy jokes so much is because he really does loathe bush. same way he loathes ahhhnold (called ahhhnold a "lunkhead", and the "meet the governor" clips are hilarious).

Once in a while he'll throw in a Clinton joke, but they're usually pretty funny.Can't recall any being really nasty though.Dave does not like Bush.Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO obvious! I love Dave.IMO< he gets better & better!

16. Dave is an environmentalist

global warming scares the cr*p out of him (me too).Unfortunately, he was also completely freaked out by 9/11-enough to follow lockstep behind * for a while. I'm glad to see he's snapping out of it!

Just remember-60% of Americans get the majority of their news from late night talk shows. Lets just hope that most are watching Letterman and Conan, and not Leno!
