The band...not the food. I think everyone can agree the food is simply delicous.

Have I been living in a box? I just got turned on to these guys this week and can't beleive I missed them! I feel the same way today that I did in 2001 when I first heard Radiohead's 'OK Computer'!

1. I can dig Cake

the food and the band. I remember going through a phase where I listened to "Going the Distance" all the freakin' time. And "Shut the Fuck Up" is still one of my favorite songs.

The members of the band... well, back in the day they were just awful, collectively. Perhaps stardom has improved their spirits.

5. Cake is pretty good.

I got sick of all the radio play for Short Skirt Long Jacket.
I hate it when a station picks one song to drive into the ground, but never exposes an audience to other songs from that band.
I gotta stick to WXRT from now on. Every time I move the dial, I get pissed off.

6. Their first album was BY FAR their best...

Motorcade of Generosity has been in my most played list for several years now.

Track 10, Rock and Roll Lifestyle, was like the theme song of my entire dorm floor one year...

7. Cake is OK by me!

They showed me some willingness to take a risk on the lp that contained "Going The Distance." And PROPS to their bass player for having a very unique sound/tone!

I'm frankly amazed they get airplay. (no slam at them, just the industry)

If all radio bands were as good and original, radio would be worth listening to.
