1. THEY USED IT AS A DIVERSION

They (the 'officials') sat on this for a YEAR, and used it to distract coverage AWAY from the protests and Rush's problems. If you don't think Asscrack's Justice department and Karl "Himler" Rove aren't pulling the strings, I have some acreage on the moon to sell you.

8. I was just shaking my head at the TV

yelling un-fucking-believable an hour ago when I couldn't find one single news station that was covering anything other than the MJ "story." How completely suspect.

How many trump cards is Bushco holding though? Will it be enough to cover his ass?

2. foodies unite!

Hey, I'll take Mark Summers over Emeril any day. I watch that channel to enhance my cooking skills and advance my knowledge and love of All Things Considered Edible. Emeril, however, has gone way too far into the commercial racket with his line of products, his "theme" shows," his band, his obnoxious "Kick at up a notch!!" mantra, etc. I witnessed, first-hand, the same thing occur with Wolfgang Puck in the '80s, when I lived in L.A. and knew him a bit. Who's gonna buy a Puck cookbook these days? No one serious about cooking. I'll admit that Lidia is maybe approaching this level herself---but her show is still the clean, crisp basics of cooking. And as far as Summers goes, man, I love watching them candies get rolled and tumbled, and pooped into their molds. Far out!
