What do you think Bush does about sex? |
|
Since one of Bush's implicit campaign points was "I am faithful to my wife" (unlike the wocka wocka porn guitar of the Clinton years*), one of the following statements must be true:
1. Bush's only sexual outlets are himself and his wife (this would be in contrast to a great many men of power, but it is possible that Bush, after so much alleged uncontrolled boozing, snorting, and whoring, can master himself enough to pull it off for 4 years).
2. Other people are involved.
I'll concede that either choice is certainly possible. Statement #2 is certainly more in line both with Bush's soaring hypocrisy, the GOP's track record on marital fidelity in general, and the current cabal's apparent worldview that other people are to be used for their own nefarious purposes. BUT it is POSSIBLE that he is faithful to Laura.
However, if he is not, where do you think the women (presumably) come from? What happens to them afterward?
I apologize in advance for the totally gratuitous and salacious nature of this post, but I really am sort of fascinated by this wreck of a human being, who has seemingly accomplished so much while actually failing at nearly everything he has tried. Morally bankrupt, intellectually incurious, driven by petty revenge, spouting the worst kind of religious piety while not stopping to think how it applies to him: Does this sound like a faithful husband?

19. Disdain for one's wife can also be used for control |
|
Witholding sex from one's spouse is a form of abuse. It's all about power relations.
Also, if he has a low drive to begin with, it's not too much of a stretch to think that they just...don't.

15. I guess I'm interested in the sociological question |
|
of whether a person like Bush has any virtues at all, if we accept fidelity as a virtue.
Would it really be possible for him to keep a promise to himself and his spouse, when he breaks promises at his convenience so often in every other sphere of his life?
I don't really subscribe to the notion that * is truly evil through and through, I'm sure there is SOME good in him. I'm just wondering what? What is his code of ethics? Does it include, for example, bodily fidelity? We know he can engage in quid pro quo - is that ethical behavior, though? I guess it is ethical, but not necessarily moral.

The man is obsessed with his fitness. Obsessed. Can't read newspapers; no time; not important. His pulse rate is all. Sex? What's sex? That's a human, interactive emotion. He has no time for that. My pulse rate, what's my pulse rate?

18. I'm fascinated by the fact that when Clinton's enemies |
|
imagined things about his bad behavior, they all attributed a mighty sex drive and incredibly loose behavior to him. Like LBJ. Like JFK. Even like FDR, apparently.
What was Truman's reputation? Is Carter the only Democrat in the 20th century who can rival Republicans for boring sex lives*?
*disclaimer, of course I know that Republicans don't really have boring sex lives. The sexcapades of nearly all of the impeachment managers in 1998 (even at the time!), for example, have been described as "baroque".

28. He tragically lost his dick in the Vietnam War |
|
Didn't you guys know he was a war hero? He once said that he had seen war and raised twins, and that war was easier. See, he never said Babs and Jenna were his. Marvin was a sperm donor. George saw combat on a secret mission to Vietnam, which is why he can't say where he was during the last years of his National Guard enlistment. His secret mission was foiled when a grenade went off in his crotch, blowing off his genitals. That's why he walks with that super arrogant strut of his: he can. He does that strutting about that would crush and uninjured man's balls, but Bush walks around like Lord of the Dance Michael Flattley.
