Owens suspension and sit-down upheld.
<http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2234459>

"PHILADELPHIA -- An arbitrator has upheld the Philadelphia Eagles' four-game suspension of Terrell Owens, and the team has the right to deactivate him.

Arbitrator Richard Bloch heard more than 13 hours of arguments last week.

"The finding is that the club has shouldered its burden of proof of clear and convincing evidence of player misconduct in that the four-week suspension was for just cause," Bloch wrote in his decision. "Additionally, there was no inherent violation of the labor agreement in the club's decision to pay Owens but not practice or play him due to the nature of the player's conduct and its destructive and continuing threat to the team."

Personally I think that this is a good thing. I'm sick and tired of hearing multi-millionaires whining about how poor they're paid, and acting out like spoiled children when somebody tells them no. I realize that this is going to hurt the Eagles, but they have earned my respect with this action, and hopefully this will prevent some of this nonsense from occurring in the future.

1. threat to the team, sure
He threw an interception that lead to a touchdown didn't he? I guess I have not been following the nonsense all that closely.

2. No, he wasn't a threat on the field, but a huge problem off-field
It started out last summer, after getting a plum contract last year, Owens was wanting even more out of the Eagles. They refused, and TO started to bad mouth the team, his quarterback and everything Eagle. After being sent home from training camp, TO made amends and came back to play.

However that attitude didn't last long. He was getting in fights with his team mates and becoming verbally abusive to everybody in the Eagle organization, and the root cause of all of this was money, he wanted ever more millions.

If finally came to a head a few weeks ago, and the Eagles sat his happy ass down. They suspended him for four games, and are going to in-activate him for the rest of the season after that. They will probably go after a couple of million in signing bonus also.

Frankly I think that this is all a good thing. Like I said earlier I hate millionaires complaining about money, or the lack there-of. I also hate people who make a spectacle out of themselves when they don't get their way. Hopefully this will to get through to some of the other "problem children" in the NFL and stave off some future incidents.
