14. Sweet Tater Pie recipe is a closely guarded secret |
|
Security clearances are required. Sorry. I would also like to mention here that jellied cranberry sauce is not acceptable at our house on Thanksgiving. Must buy the can with the real chopped up berries inside.

...I will see today. By the way, if you attempt to have any of the Sweet Tater Pie analyzed at any commercial lab...I would expect that you might get a visit from some NSA types.
On edit: I just realized this was my 100th post. The fact that it mentions Sweet Taters, Cheesecake, Cranberry's and the NSA all in one post means that I have successfully incorporated DU into my daily life. I have finally found a home!!! LOL

8. Ok educate me - what should be included in the "fixins" |
|
Am I right that most stuffings are not stuffed at all but prepared separately?
And what stuffing would you say is the most common?
Seriously, I am curious.

My mom in law does both. She stuffs the bird and makes a side dish. The stuffing she makes is from scratch with turkey drippings and a touch of sausage. scrumptious

For whatever reason, I don't think of olives much until Thanksgiving! Must be the childhood memories of sticking them on the end of my fingers to eat them. :bounce:
