You look great, as does your horse. I haven't been riding since before I had my kids (my oldest is 3 the twins are 17 months). My mom had me on a horse when I was 6 mos old. I rode through childhood and in college. I'm sure I will again. I am a special ed teacher and hope to get my Therapeutic Riding Certification to be an Instructor someday.

This football team is going to the playoffs for the second year in a row. Last year, they had 23 seniors. This year they only have 3.
I'm debating on whether to focus on one of those seniors or to write about how they overcame the loss of 23 seniors and still made it back to the playoffs.

Heights fascinate me. I've always loved being up in the air. Used to work on a concrete crew, building bridges and retaining walls. I loved being on a narrow scaffolding, swaying in the breeze. Nuts, I know, but I love the feeling of freedom up there.

The WTC was neat because there was the rail that I'm sitting on, which was about waist high but about 10 or 12 feet below, the roof jutted out so you weren't in any danger of falling 110 stories but it let you feel the openness, unlike the Empire State Building which has safety railings that rear up and curve back over your head. It was dizzying - my friend was unable to stand when he first stepped out onto the roof, his knees were so weak - in fact, the photo was taken from a bench conveniently placed there for those about to fall down.

I, being clinically insane, leaped gaily up onto the railing and cried, "take my picture!" which caused several people to turn an interesting shade of pale, not least of whom was my photographer.

Something to treasure, since the building is history.

I admire your courage and love of heights. I love the feeling of heights also, but have to take time to acquire a tolerance. As a child, my dad was a forest ranger, so we learned to climb fire towers at an early age.

I used to paint our house every 5 yrs or so. Hubby was afraid of heights, but I could handle it. The house was 2 and half stories, Cape Cod style with lots of dormers,etc., so I had to climb and hang on the roof to paint hard to reach areas.

There was a shopping mall machine that did that - four renderings of your image. I usually prefer the mall machines that give you Hello Kitty stickers, but this was the only one I could find last June on my 44th birthday.

One of the things that killed my makeup was the insanely gorgeous guitarist emptying his water bottle on me, after he'd been practically undressing me with his eyes the whole show. If I wasn't monogamous and spoken for...hot damn.

My friends and I ended up escorting a hardcore groupie back to her hotel afterwards. She actually came all teh way from Japan, just to follow the band. She barely spoke English, but between the five of us, we knew enough Japanese to explain to her it probably wasn't a good idea to hang around a desolate area of NYC alone at 1 in the morning, and saw her home safely.
