Why oh why won't Toyota make a Sienna Hybrid?
As wifey and I have been domesticated by our kids...the time is nigh for us to sport a minivan.

Thing is, if we'e going to drive a big car...I want it to be a hybrid...

Toyota, if you're listening, this car is BEGGING to be hybridized!!!!

They just don't sell it in the US yet. http://www.hybridcars.com/toyota-sienna-minivan-hybrid.html

We'll probably get it here when the new body style comes out in a few years. I want one bad.

5. Tjdee - wanna do a trip to japan to get one?
If we pool our resources and find a Japanese salesman who speaks English, we can arrange for one to be bought and shipped here in the states.

4. Lexus already makes one.......
It IS more money though......

I'm waiting rather impatiently for their Camry Hybrid, which is supposedly promised for model year 2007......

*sigh* waiting is hard!

:hi:

6. Not the Sienna
That's an SUV thing and the hybrid tech is used for increased power more than better milage.

In a pinch the hybrid Highlander'd work (both are built on the Camry platform) but I'd much rather have the Sienna, as it's the safest family vehicle on the road.

8. Well I've got one but he's a handfull.
It's hard to open the door, carry him out to the car and strap him in the Husky when he's struggling, so the power doors are oh-so-tempting.

15. I dunno.....
We rented a van with automatic doors while we were on vacation. The kid kept push the conveniently located automatic door button and closing it. On my body. Tres annoying.

16. Uh oh.
LeftyKid's smart and he's got a mean streak. Five bucks says I'd be smashed by the door before we got the car home.

9. You are so right about that......
DAMN those carmakers to HELL for using the hybrid for more power instead of increased mileage!

That really frosts me......:nuke:

Am I being too subtle?

10. It makes me mad too
not that I'm getting a Lexus anytime soon or even want one. It's just a shame that people will buy one thinking they're doing the planet a favor when really they're just getting a even more overpowered (and overpriced) version of the rx330.
