And then, I just blurted it out.
Dateline, workplace, circa 11:30 this morning.

Co-worker: "I can't believe people don't care if the unborn live or die."
Robb: "Hell, I don't care whether most born people live or die."
Co-worker: "......."
Robb: "I'll be at lunch."

Oddly enough, no one spoke to me for the rest of the day. Imagine my productivity! :D

1. Flippant you may be, but you're better than I am.
I'd have asked co-worker if he gave a flying flip what happened to them once they were born.

2. In the interest of transparency, it was a "she"
...And in the interest of further transparency, I don't think I was kidding. ;)

3. I didn't say you were kidding - I said you were flippant.
You can be flippant and still honest. :P

So...does she care what happens to them once they are born?

5. I told one gullible fundie that "adoption will be mandatory"
for families if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

I said "Every family with kids will have to, by law, adopt a child whether they want to or not."

You should've seen the look on her face.

6. Calvin: This homework isn't important. It's not like lives are at stake.
"And even if lives were at stake, it would depend on whose lives it was."

8. When you were young, you used to say live and let live
Edited on Wed Nov-30-05 12:11 AM by hfojvt
Wait a minute, that's Paul isn't it. Then live and let die.

I made a funny like that. These fundy friends of mine were talking about someone who was heckling Gerry Ferraro. The heckler kept saying "What about abortion?" "What about abortion?" Then I interjected "Finally she said 'I wish your mother had had one!'"

They laughed at that one.
