Poll question: POLL: Chopsticks or Fork |
|
Seinfeld:
"I'll tell you what I like about Chinese people. They're hanging in there with the chopsticks. You know they've seen the fork. They're staying with the sticks. I don't know how they missed it. Going out all day on the farm with a shovel. Come on. Shovel. Spoon. You're not plowing 50 acres with a couple of pool cues."

3. As much as I love Asian food, I just can't work those fucking things.... |
|
Maybe I can fake my way through the larger chunks of meat or veggies, but when it comes to the rice and/or noodles, forget about it :(

China will call in the US debt before I figure out how to use those things on anything smaller than a potsticker.

7. Fork. And, I Know How To Use The Sticks |
|
Not worth the extra effort. I want to enjoy the food, not work at eating it.
When i was younger i used the sticks, because i thought it was cool that i knew how. Now, i just want to eat. The Professor

Well, i was thinking Chinese/Japanese. And, that doesn't require a knife. Just stick a fork in it (hee hee) and pop it in the mouth. The Professor

I start out with the chopsticks, then get annoyed with them while I'm trying to eat the rice. Then I give up and switch to a fork.

17. Chopsticks for the appropriate foods! |
|
My friends and I knew we'd become 'regulars' at the sushi place near campus when they stopped bringing us forks and spoons for the meals. I guess they figured that by then we ought to know how to eat the food properly, lol. The best part about eating noodles or soup with chopsticks is that it gives you license to pick the bowl up and shovel noodles/soup into your mouth with much slurpy noise. Mmm!
God, now I'm seriously craving some ramen...
