15. Ah, not quite....
Their song on that soundtrack was Bring on the Dancing Horses.

Round, Round was done by some band called Belouis Some.

3. Ian's upright and everything?
Wow. I wish echo and the bunnymen were in front of *my* building. Funny tale, in the 1980s Channel 17 in Rockford Il used the opening of Silver for the opening bumper for their news. :-)

7. Dunno.....
Should I go taste them?

They pre-sold 550 tickets for tonight's show. So I guess there are lots of people who still want the answer to that question.

8. OK, I'll ask you something: Who are Echo and the Bunnymen?
(Can you tell I don't listen to commercial radio or watch television? I have to ask this sort of thing a lot.)

9. Happy to oblige...
They are an English pop/new wave/psychedelic rock band that's been around since the 80's. This is their first US tour in quite a while. One of their songs was featured recently in the soundtrack to the movie Donny Darko, which kind of brought them back a bit.

11. Thanks. Hey wait!...Since the NINETEEN FUCKING EIGHTIES??
That's a new record of obliviousness, even for me, missing something for twenty damn years...

I gotta turn on the tube once in a while.

13. Yup!
Formed in 1978, first record came out in 1980.

Turning on the tube won't help you a bit with this one, nor will most radio.

Mostly a bit of a cult following, but they are pretty damn cool - if you like that sort of thing.

has one of their CDs. Or I'll rent that movie.

And if I do end up liking them, I'll have you to thank for turning me on to a new enjoyment.

See? DU can be useful!
