Happy birthday, Stan Musial! |
|
83 today. A couple of years ago (after Ted Williams' death), the top five living baseball players were selected - and Stan the Man was not one of them. A travesty. I am sure that Willie, Sandy, Bob (Gibson or Feller) and Warren all join me in toasting the Man. Salute! May you play your harmonica for many years to come.

1. Al Kaline wore number 6 because of The Man |

Here's to Stan Musial, of course. Happy birthday, Stan. John Big baseball fan. Bigger Tiger fan.

2. Me, too - Kaline was my substitute Dad |
|
Grew up without a father. Al Kaline was my role model; never did anything untowards - all class. Should have mentioned him, but felt this was for Stan the Man. Hopeless Tiger fan here, too. Can still name the 1961 starting lineup (my first year following them, at 9), and their stats. Let's hope for (lots) better things in the years to come.
