Christmas Tree or Holiday Tree?
This is one of the lamest, non-issue, shit-starting arguments I've ever heard. It's Christmas Tree, everyone knows it's Christmas Tree. It's like watching someone try and pick a fight with himself.

10. Works for me
in that I've always heard it. Doesn't seem offensive. But Holiday Tree sounds ridiculous. I never thought I'd agree with Jerry Falwell on anything. I guess some issues are so stupid they come full circle.

14. I hadn't heard than anyone other than Falwell was saying they call it a...
Holiday Tree.

Nobody.

It's a false controversy.

15. Some city's website
referred to it as a holiday tree. The Christian Right just needs something to bitch about...it's a slow time of year.

17. Sounds like censorship to me...
I suppose if I called it a Holiday Tree... I should have
the right to continue calling it that. Jerry, FauxNews,
et al... Should go back to preaching to their own choirs
and leave the First Amendment alone.

12. How about no tree
I hate dead and dying trees in my house. I quit doing 'em a few years back. I bought one of those cheesy little optic light numbers that I can stuff back in the box. I call it a cheesy little optic light Christmas tree. Now that I know I have an option, I might sometimes call it my cheesy little optic light holiday tree.

I think it's better to have no tree than a fake tree. My $.02.

21. Yes, you're right.
To be honest, my little fiber optic burned out and I'm not planning on replacing it. I'm not a scrooge, I just don't like the whole tree idea. Just weird like that.

16. It's accurately called a Christmas tree.
It doesn't matter that it is non-inclusive -- that's what it's called.

There's no such thing as a "holiday candelabra" either (which I've never seen, but I'm offering here for the sake of absurdity) -- it's a Hanukkah menorah.
