Need a present for your religious friends? How about a bible calendar?
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 01:12 PM by Kellanved
I saw a report about this on Spiegel online, here is my quick and minimal summary:

In the Katzwang district of Nuremberg, the protestant church youth saw a way to raise funds for their congregation: make a calendar. A bible calendar. An erotic bible calendar.

The reverend, Bernd Grasser, lauded the participants for bringing life into the scripture, defending them against outside criticism.

2000 prints of the calendar "As created by god" will go on sale this weekend, for €12.50 each.

1. Just a thought
Don't use religious when what you mean is Christan. The two are not always the same thing (e.g., a religious Muslim or Wiccan).

But I love the idea of an erotic bible calendar. I bet that'd make James Dobson's head explode.

2. well
It was not my intention to write "Christian", because I did mean "Religious". The latter has another implication on a person's mindset, than the former.

Considering that this is the Lounge, I don't really see the need to write a legalese definition. Also: The subject line allowed only for one word and I certainly did not want to use a degrading term like "fundy" for friends of DU'ers.

But thanks for the clarification, I think it clears up the ambiguity for all people reading the thread.

;-)

:hi:
