Timer without a beep or alarm? |
|
I need one for the LSAT tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas about where one might get one? I suspect I may have something lying around here that I'm just not thinking of. My watch beeps, so thats out. Do they even make them without the beep. They, of course, sell a pricey test taking timer, but I'm hoping for a cheap or better yet "already have" solution. thanks

1. Get a beeper with "vibrate" function. |
|
It doesn't have to be in service just as long as it keeps the time. Get an old one from somebody.

3. They don't allow pagers or cell phones, unfortunately. |

(Whether it's in service or not.)
You are allowed to have on your desk: • Pencils and erasers • A highlighter • A non-beeping timer or watch (as long as the watch doesn't do anything but tell time -- no calculator watches, for instance) • The test book and answer sheet.
That's it. I'd imagine they wouldn't kick you out for a crumpled-up Kleenex or something, but I wouldn't push it with anything else.

I couldn't find a cheap test timer either, so I went with a good old-fashioned watch. (I took the October test.)
They do give you a five-minute warning and I found that was sufficient. (Then again -- I'm a naturally fast test taker, and didn't try to break down the games or reading sections into 8-minute increments or anything.)

4. Thanks. I'm pretty quick, too. |

I haven't run out of time on any of the practice tests thus far.
