And the hard drive is a Maxtor 7200 rpm w/16MB cache ATA-133 EIDE, but I'm building a pc from scratch, so I'm doing a full, not quick format. But it does seem a bit slow. Oh well.

(I feel compelled to say that, under Linux, hard disk formatting - there called "file system creation" - is WAY faster. Yeah, I'm gloating.)
