Bush and jury duty: Is it me... |
|
or should he have to show up just like everyone else? I don't care what the hell he has planned on Monday. You'd think he'd want to set a good example for the rest of the country. Yes, it can be a pain to go. But it can also be very educational (something he could use) and rewarding. That and it's a very important part of our government.
And, especially since Kerry sat on a jury just a couple of weeks ago.
Does everyone agree? I suppose I'm preaching to the choir on this one.

1. No. There is no way there could be a fair trial with cameras and secret |
|
service everywhere. Plus, it is routine to excuse someone from showing up if they're working half a country away.
I agree he should sit that one out.

2. Of course, I wouldn't pick him to serve... |
|
but I think he should still have to show up and sit through the process of being eliminated.

3. Even so. It'll slow things down, intimidate the hell out of everyone there |
|
It'd be a circus. I'd rather he stay away until he's a private citizen again.
