The Last Song To Get Stuck In Your Head Was.....
what? (Go ahead... SAY IT... and make it get "stuck" in someone else's head.)

How long did it last?

2. That damned USPS commercial ditty playing now.....
Edited on Fri Nov-21-03 04:02 PM by hlthe2b
Mail myself to you... (old woody guthrie song)

I'm gonna tie me in a little red string
I'm gonna tie blue ribbons too
Climb up into my mailbox
I'm gonna mail myself to you

A week now, and I'm still hearing it! Nice little ditty, but my brain needs a rest...

3. I'm gonna get you on a slow-boat to China...
I was humming it for days.

Midler & Manilow sing it on her Rosemary Clooney album; a lady at work was listening to it on her computer, and the rest is history.

I am very susceptible to "stuck-in-your-head" songs. I wonder what that means.

it was (of all things) "Beauty School Dropout". It took me days to get rid of that one.

23. Here's our jingle for Goldfish
We wrote a song for Goldfish

The wholesome snack that smiles back
until you bite their heads off!

See the fishes swimming...
Oh look the pretzel's winning...

Didn't that make you feel good about Goldfish?

Here's our Jingle for Goldfish
Crunchy little Goldfish

Oh good we're at the part
Where we show that they're baked and not fried

Did you know they're made
with real cheese
Even though they look like fishies

The snack that smiles back Goldfish.

"DAM" I hate when that happens

28. "If You Could Read My Mind, Love"
Was perhaps not the most recent, but one of the worst in my own personal history, ranking right up there with the sticking of "Lineman for the County" (good god, Glen Campbell? Why? Why?) which haunted me night and day for about a week a few years ago.

That damn "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy" song by the Wiggles is very, very stickable, as well. If you have small kids I'm sure you can relate.

31. Leaving on a Jet Plane
a co-working was leaving on plane yesterday and I started singing it. But not in a sappy way but kinda groovy tunes way. Then it was stuck in my head the rest of the day. Then last night I'm talking to a friend on the cell phone (another DUer and PA Senate Candidate Charlie Crystle) and I started singing it again.

GET THIS DAMN SONG OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

39. "Surrender"
By Cheap Trick for a couple of hours

Mother told me, yes she told me that I'd meet girls like you
She also told me to stay away, 'cause you'll never know what you'll catch
Just the other day I heard of a soldier falling off
Some Indonesian junk that's going 'round

Mommy's alright Daddy's alright they just seem a little wierd
Surrender, surrender but never give yourself away...
