Maybe it helps that, try as I might, I've not succeeded in getting to sleep (again) and it's after 9 AM and some inconsiderate f***wit is yelling and has been for over an hour and I don't have my Uzi handy because it's in the store and, indeed, I haven't yet bought it or even thought of buying it except for moments like this -- maybe that knife will do the trick -- and I want to go to sleep but I can't because I'm all...something.

So I stared that test down, boy. Sleep defeated me, dispatching early-AM loudmouths has eluded me (though the day is young, even if it's pretty old, already, for me), and there was no way that test was going to beat me. I had to draw the line somewhere. Unfortunately, while I was drawing lines, I forgot to note the time. Kinda figured that the test would tell me I'd won and then promise me riches and fame beyond compare if I'd just give them my e-mail address. This test was very much a hands-off one, though, so after what could quite conceivably have been 20 minutes of listening to that sound (point of trivia: the looped soundtrack eventually stops and then, after the pause that refreshes, starts again) I timed two minutes just so I could be sure I made it.

I won. Ba-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding.

I can laugh now, at least. If only my mouth would wake up enough to actually open (I don't want to blow my eardrums).
