i hate se texas. i want real weather. i want a summer that doesn't try to kill you and a winter that is consistantly below 40 at least. the fleas and other creepy crawlies get worse every summer because the winter is too mild to kill them and they just get stronger.

i will actually wear shorts and a tee to our city HOLIDAY parade. that's not right.

unlike most of my texas born and bred counterparts i like the cold weather. thank goodness because i can't afford to heat my house this year.

I'm from Alaska, and this is my third winter in SW Missouri. Right now, the temp is 68 degrees, and its damn december 3rd, it makes no sense to me, its like summer just doesnt' want to friggen die. I'm so use to the cold, and snow...I miss it! I got a snow shovel three years ago, and its still a damn virgin snow shovel, its never seen snow...:(

10. Here in the desert bugs are not a problem

No fleas whatsoever! Not enough moisture for fleas to survive. I was shocked to find this out after moving here. I don't have to use any kind of flea or tick products on my baby girl anymore. No mosquitoes either!
I've been here in the desert for 2 years now and I don't miss the snow or cold weather of New York at all.
I've been to SE Texas where you are and could not stand the humidity.
