When is the last time a cashier said "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas"

I assume that at some point in my life I've been told "Happy Holidays" by a cashier, and that at some point I've been told "Merry Christmas," but I don't have any specific recollection.

Since Fox News (John Gibson, Bill O'Reilly) and Focus on the Family started making the greetings controversial, and I would notice, I haven't been told either by a cashier.

Do you have a specific recollection of a cashier saying either of these to you?

1. Yesterday someone said "Happy Holidays" to me.

That's usually what we say to people in my store, if we're inclined and if we've talked about the holiday season with them.

And we've been known to say "Merry Christmas" to people we know who celebrate it. This whole controversy they've created is utterly ridiculous... :eyes:
