The Happy thread
No whining. No moaning. No thoughts or Bush or the war.

My kids got Finding Nemo recently. Great flick! Whenever I think of Dori(sp?) singing "just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" I can't be upset. For 10 seconds, take a break from the struggle.:D :grouphug:

1. Finding Nemo -- great flick indeed
One of the sweetest things on film is Marlin telling Nemo, "If you put one fin on that boat --" then Nemo smacking the boat w/ his good fin. So cute!

Other happy thoughts:

It's Friday, carne asada taco night at our house
going home soon to happy cats
Four days off next week, and Kathy's niece will be here from Tennessee

2. It's Friday and I have less than an hour to work!
No major plans for the weekend. Just me, my hubby, my dogs and hours & hours of football.

3. Big fat leftist Thanksgiving at my house
the highlight of which will be a singalong of Alice's Restaurant. Yes, Virginia, there are at least 18 progressives in upstate NY (kids notwithstanding).

4. Alice's
The classic rock station in my hometown (San Antonio) always plays that on Thanksgiving morning. I love that song! My Grandma had it on LP and we used to play it at family gatherings.

5. Shabbat Shalom!!!
It is almost Shabbat for me. Bread, wine, and fire can pretty much clear away any gloom.

We always say what we are thankful for from the week. Keeps you thinking about the good stuff in life. One person we are always thankful for is Jon Stewart!

6. Great thread. :-)
And thanks for mentioning Nemo! I loved that movie more than my kids did I think! :D

That message really resonated with me... Marlon telling Dori, "you always think you can do these things, Nemo, but you can't!" (or something like that) was my favorite part.

Really teaches courage despite adversity, and hope and optimism too. My favorite character is Dori, of course. That whale-speak stuff is unforgettable. Great job by Ellen on that.

Only two more hours, and it's home, sweet home. :D

Thanks for this forum for positivity!
