Seeing that the media is so creative anyway, they can make something perfectly legit look like a crime.

23. Even if you can't use the document itself |
|
Can't you use the information in the document to pursue an investigation that leads to a source that you can use?

|
So they would not give you the permission!

willing to get you the info, as in The Insider. Someone who would, for the sake of decency, rat on their own.

10. That's a sticky wicket |
|
I would suggest a reporter could use copies. However, I'm not sure if the reporter could copy the original and use those copies because the reporter is still getting unapproved benefit of the original.

|
ask for copies! We have to be clever here and try to find someway to put the idea into their heads. If it is found out that we did tell them to make copies then we ar adding and abiding in the eyes of the law!

1 Rules must be content neutral
2 Rules must not constitute a complete ban on communication
3 Rules must be justified by a substantial state interest
4 Rules must be narrowly tailored

Voir dire questioning about juror knowledge of the case Change to a venue with less publicity Delay of trial till things cool down Juror admonishment Jury sequestering Gag orders Restrictive orders limiting publication about the trial
This last has problems, since the Supremes have allowed since 1976 that the press can publish anything it obtains legally. Gag orders also are under attack, and may not last long.

Not the sort of test you want to try at home unless you're gonna make a LOT of money, or just have huge stones.
Makes lawyers rich and prosecutors famous in certain circles. That community standards stuff is a killer.
I wish they'd stop trying to define porn and let everyone just turn the channel. But, that's never gonna happen.
Just what is so bad about seeing nekkid people doing what nekkid people do?
