My neighbours daughter lost my precious cat last week...she kept the basement door open and the cat flew out...by the time i got there kitty was completely out of sight....

its been over a week...and i have searched ..put up poster...visited all the shelter...no sign of her

people call me to say they have seen her but cant catch her...by the time i get there...shes gone...

i miss her...

i think somehow typing this up made it all more real...which is why i have been avoiding doing this

11. I heard a story on the radio today

A lady called in and said she lost her cat for 2 weeks. She got it back by putting one of her husbands dirty work shirts on the porch. The kitty came right home. I am not sure if it will work but I thought it might help.

18. I think that's a great idea.

Put something with your scent on it right at the door. I'd put a little box there with an old wool sweater in it too, for her to stay warm in if she comes home and you're not right at the door. And some fresh water. Watch for kitty tracks if it snows.

On the few occasions when my kitty got away, I've found it better to stay in one spot at the house and call for him than to walk around looking.

28. You need to spring into action. She NEEDS you now.

If at all possible adjust your sleep schedule to be up during some of the hours between 1am and 4am. She is a smart cat and is not coming out during the day. You will need to spend a few hours each night heading in diff directions to find her. Keep calling her name. She WILL respond.

You must try to catch her at night. Coerce a friend to join you if need be... but nightime is BY FAR your best bet.
