2. Link! Link! is it webcast?!
Footnote. Canadian Thanksgiving was last month, and I cooked my very first turkey (mom was out of town)! Nobody died--it was great!

3. Congratulations!!
That means you took the giblet bag out before cooking it, right? I'll never forget the time my sister forgot to do that. Gross.

4. That reminds me
One of the very first turkeys I ever cooked (I've cooked 34 since then) I put it all prettied up in the oven and thought to myself "where are the giblets!" I was about to panic, no giblets for the gravey is not good, anyway, I popped open the oven removed the turkey and behold! there they were. I haven't forgotten them since. Oh, the joys of cooking, especially when you are young and not too savvy on turkey preparation! :9

5. I use to have a very good friend who was a heroin addict
and a VERY masculine punk-rock-lesbian. I've not seen her in years. A few months ago I was watching Martha Steward and my friend was making a pie with Martha. It was shocking and funny. She seemed so coy and into it, but I think I saw a hint of lasciviousness in the way she looked at Martha. :)

Can you give more detail such as time and channel.

7. Do you think they shot up prior to the broadcast?
I'm picturing Martha with a really nice, hand-swen cosy for her fits.

9. I had not thought of that I thought maybe my friend had gone to rehab
but I have known one or two functional heroin addicts (they were very wealthy and did not have to steal or purchase substandard dope). I bet Martha knows how to grow and process her own high-grade poppies.

10. Dammit, don't tease us and then give us no details!
Spell it out, my friend, spell it out!

And figure out a way to plug DU, perhaps mentioning the rather longish thread about cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Or just mention me, and that I'm available for very high fees for corporate speaking, weekend retreats, and anything else that will make a few thousand bucks in a couple of days.

15. Oh It Is!
Alton Brown's recipe is the best. Gotta try it. I've done it several times and it's been a hit each and every time.
