MS Is Flaring Up, Again!
Just wanted to complain, if that's ok.

I've got the "million bees stinging my legs" thing again. Been going on since Saturday evening. The pain is just wearing me out. I'm still at work and all, but boy, this has been a difficult 5 days. It's all i can do to get up or down a set of steps.

I won't elaborate further. Just needed to vent.
The Professor

1. I'm so sorry, Professor
 Chronic stuff is, as you say, very wearing. I hope that the pain eases up again for you, and soon. DU does have a group for chronic illness, etc... not sure if you know about that, or have other support resources available. Hugs to you, dude

I just thought about posting when i was already in the Lounge. I'll go over there later today like normal, to see who else might be having a bad day.

8. Okay, but that's for us to know!
:)

I have a condition that's known to be a precursor to MS. It scares me and my heart goes out to you in your pain.

Gotta keep fighting the fight. This type of illness can only get worse if i quit fighting back!

13. I've never had the "bees stinging" thing, just
a wobbly right leg and REAL heat intolerance.

I hope you don't have the bees stinging soon, and that you feel better.

26. Don't Feel Jealous
It's a drag. It's the worst of my symptoms. I don't have balance issues, (occasionally i have a momentary loss of stability in my right leg, but it lasts less than a second). I don't have any issues in the hands, or strength.

But, the burning, electric shock, bee sting, and outright pain gets to me sometimes. All i can hope is that it goes back to "normal" likes it's been doing the last 11 years.

Thanks for your empathy.

It can happen to you, too, and I certainly hope it does.

Hang in there.

19. Oh, boy. I'm sorry.
I went through an MS scare after the birth of my second baby. It turned out not to be MS (possibly post-partum something or other), but I have a real interest in MS now. My oldest friend was diagnosed this summer, and I know several other people with varying degrees of the condition. I know that the unpredictibility of MS can take a real toll. All I can say is I hope it goes away soon!

20. Thanks Oregon!
I have to use that name because of A League of Their Own. (Rosie calls Geena Davis that early in the movie.)

I've had it for 11 years, and my episodes have always ended up with me back at baseline. Baseline isn't "normal" but it's better than now. So, my fingers & toes are crossed.

25. Gladly, She's Better. Thanks for Asking!
They started treating the condition as viral, when they exhausted all other reasonable causes. She gradually got better! So, they were right, but after 8 weeks of tests and shoulder shrugging.

At least we're only feeling badly one at a time.

29. I wonder if this will help?
I've passed this along to many people who say they have some, even significant, results. I've been using it for several years myself. Brings clearing, balance and rejuvination.

Sitting comfortably, see yourself in the middle of perfectly formed, comfortably large circle. Give yourself whatever time you want for it to come into view. As you gaze on it, it will fill with peace. You can increase this by normally breathing in and out. After you've done this for, say, a minute or so, see the circle filling with gentle, flaming gold. Breathe that in and out for awhile. It operates with and independent of your breath. Any movement you get is a sign that you're processing what you're holding. Duration helps as does frequency. A minute or so is all you need to do at any one time to get great benefits unless you want to do more. After awhile, you can do this anywhere.
