Question for owners of (or experts on) male betas |
|
I have four male betas. Three seem normal, but one of them rests on the bottom of the container almost all the time. (Yes, they're all in separate containers.) But I don't think he's dying, because when I look closely, he becomes energized and starts to swim around like the others.
This one is more eel-like than the other three, who instead have that billowy-curtain look.
Is he dying? depressed? lazy? normal?

2. Yup, or else change position of the cup so he can see his mortal |
|
enemies.
At the San Diego Wild Animal Park, they had deer in one area, and of course the lions in another.
Over the years the deer became lethargic, bored, and weren't breeding. So they moved the lions upwind, so that whenever a breeze came along, the scent of the lions would scoot down the hill towards the deer.
They immediately become perkier, eating more, romping and of course breeding more, since, death was IMMINENT with that lion JUST over the hill. They could SMELL him, but never see him, but the instinct to survive and propegate the species became of it the utmost importance.
True story.
Then, can someone explain what "Wgasa" means, as the name of a portion of the park?

4. He's in a dual container with a transparent divider separating him from |
|
another beta, but he often just lies there looking in the opposite direction.
