I HAD to. They were bright shiny red and sparkly and I put them in the 5' tall Cypress flanking the front steps.

NEXT? Wrapping the porch columns in red (vinyl) and then wrapping them with twinkie light and ribbon festooned garland.

what's everyone else's plans for decorating?

1. I don't plan to use lights...

It is a waste of precious energy. I would never have felt this way before I needed power back in August and had none. I realized just how precious and life sustaining it is.

other than that - bah humbug!

Unless nails are used, we can only predict that the lights are temporary and not that important after all. LOL
