Favorite JFK quotations: Hope and Inspiration as We Continue Our Struggle
Here's some of mine.

In a time of turbulence and change, it is more true today than ever that knowledge is power.

It is time for a new generation of leadership, to cope with new problems and new opportunities. For there is a new world to be run.

The wave of the future is not the conquest of the world by a single dogmatic creed but the liberation of the diverse energies of free nations and free men.

A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on. Ideas have endurance without death.

Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.

There are risks and costs to a program of action. But they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction.

...what really counts is not the immediate act of courage or of valor, but those who bear the struggle day in and day out — not the sunshine patriots but those who are willing to stand for a long period of time.

We can help make the world safe for diversity. For in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.

3. That's an excellent one!
I remember I posted some of my favorite quotes before and someone (I think FinnFann?) liked one of them so much that they put it in their sig line and even said they were doing that, just like you.

Anyway, a few weeks later, they were posting somewhere and I went off-topic to say how much I liked their sig line and how it was one of my favorite quotes. D'oh. LOL! :silly:

2. A favorite quote about JFK
This was printed on the first page of the 11-22-64 edition of the "Harvard Crimson":

"Time has blurred our memory, words have stilled our feelings. But we remember the man, and the day, and feel a muted sorrow."

4. RFK's remembrance of JFK at the '64 Democratic Convention
"When I think of my brother John, I think of the poet Shakespeare when he wrote in "Romeo And Juliet" : "When he shall die, take and cut him in little stars and he shall make the face of Heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish sun".
