What commonly used term, phrase, euphemism or figure of speech
do you consider overused, distasteful, stupid, or annoying? Obviously, not everyone will agree with you - otherwise it wouldn't be commonly used - so just everybody get past that and lets just nip those flames in the bud, ok?

For instance, making some statement and then using the phrase: "just saying." or "I'm just saying" is annoying.

or, "my bad," Now THAT is annoying to the max! I mean, what the hell does that mean?

Oh, and "to the max" .... just saying.

Disclaimer: I do not post this because I am the word police ofr anything, though I am, in fact the word police (you'll be getting the memo) and I do not intende any offense by this post. If I have said anything to give offense to anyone here, or which can in any way be interpreted as offensive in nature, I humbly apologize. Now get over it.

5. Dude, I hate the use of the word
"dude" in such ubiquitous quantity.

I also despise the artificial addition of the letter "e" to words to make them seem more "Olde English" and therefore more "intellectual," as in phrases such as "I do not intende any offense . . ."

Just playing! :toast:
