I'm...in a blizzard!
Blowing snow! Fifty foot visibility! Snow stacking up!

Sunday is training day for the sled dogs... at this rate, we'll be putting the wheeled rig away for the season and going to the sled!

Sunday is also this guy's 5th birthday:

...Looks like he's getting the present he wanted! :bounce:

7. Colorado Springs is cold, snowing and wet.
We just have about a couple of inches in the middle of town, I think they are getting more north of us. The roads are going to be really slick.

:D

9. LIkewise in Pueblo West
We have about an inch so far, and it's coming down sideways. I'm getting ready to bring the dogs inside.

12. Dumping in Denver.....
Edited on Sat Nov-22-03 06:54 PM by hlthe2b
about 5 inches with I guess another 3 or 4 on the way...

And the moron drivers are out in force...(the "rear-wheeled" drive folks always seem to think that things will change each year and that THIS year will be the one that their car/truck magically becomes as fleet as a mountain goat)...as they block all traffic behind them coming up the hill.....grrrrr

5. Lucky you! It was warm enough in NYC to go without a coat today.
Unbelievable.

Congrats on the snow, and the ability to go real sledding! Your puppy is gonna have a great birthday! (Do you think animals are aware of birthdays?)

6. Nah.
I don't think they're aware of the significance. Most reactions to any verbal communication that isn't a command ("Happy Birthday, puppy!") I think break down into:

a) Is there about to be some playing?

or

b) Is there about to be a snack?

:D

It's hitting the 80's today! Kids have only since a real snowman twice. :hi:

10. I heard on NPR yesterday that CO has more sunny days than FL
Does it just snow in one fell swoop there?

11. Yupper and even more than San Diego... but quiet, so
we can keep some of those S. Cowleeforneeans out of Colorado and back there to deal with Arnie, especially those S. Cali Repugs!

Mostly it snows in the mountains, but we get quick dumps in Denver and other front range communities. It's been known to dump a foot and then be sunny and in the upper 50's a day later. That's the old adage with CO weather: "don't like it? wait a few hours...."

13. I prefer the adage
"Don't like the weather in Colorado? Go back to Texas." ;)
