Where do you see home entertainment in the future (DVDs and such)?

Last night I watched several VHS movies (the old "Hammer" horror movies), and was struck by the poor quality of the movies.

And these are originals.

Guess they've either been played to death, or I'm spoiled by the superior quality of DVDs.

2. Does your VCR have s-video out?

if you use composite video or that coax/f-connector it can look really bad. Yeah video tape is crude compared to DVD, but it's at least tolerable if you use s-video out.

Me, I don't have a vcr any more but everything i had on tape is out on dvd now anyways. Once in a great while i miss the porn tape i had, but the internets have eased the pain.
