Poll question: Well, it looks like Fox has killed Arrested Development. Who's to blame? |

2. I've never understood why it didn't catch on |

It's a great show, one of the best things on TV. And it's gotten so much critical praise. I just don't get it.

3. The mass TV audience doesn't "get" quirky humor |
|
And so many great shows have died a premature death because of it. Maybe it would have lasted longer on pay cable.

Arested Development was hilarious! One of the best sitcoms (if not THE best) on television.

I think it's been cancelled about three times so far, and has come back each time.

9. Because their marketing and PR departments suck? |
|
I did not see *ANY* of the stars of Arrested Development on the cover of any of the rags--or featured in any of the rags. Did they ever do any of the night shows? Jason Bateman, who was *very* funny on that show, and somewhat known, should have been everywhere.
I barely knew it was on, and then I never knew *when* it was on.
Ask anybody, they know what day that dumb ass show Friends was on. I didn't like that show, but I knew it was on Thursdays at 8.

10. (from a British perspective |
|
knowing that this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Fox's decision)
The BBC deciding that Sunday nights at 11:30pm is a great time to show one of the greatest comedies of the decade so far.

11. Too smart. Waaaaaay too smart. |

Brillant show though. We were lucky to get 3 seasons.
I'd LOVE to see it picked up somewhere else. It'd be terrific on HBO/Showtime (even though I'd have to download the episodes then...)
