Missing Kitty: Serious ju-ju needed!! |
|
I have been caring for a 16 year old kitty whose owners had to give up. The poor little thing has been sick with a terrible cold the past week and on antibiotics.
I am a bit frantic. She is nowhere in the house or backyard (I checked all the favorite kitty hiding places). I was unloading my car this afternoon and I think she slipped out the door.
It's been 9 hours now and no sign of her. I have been through the neighboorhood four times and asked everyone I ran into to keep an eye out for her.
She is frail, sick, and it is very cold outside.
Little Gearhead needs all the DU ju-ju, good thoughts, prayers, vibes she (and I) can get.
Thanks in advance.
I'm off for another walk around the neighborhood. I'll keep everyone updated.

Indoor only cats have a 90% chance of being within 50 feet of your home. You must search EVERYWHERE. EVERY nook and cranny, with a flashlight, hands and knees.
Go here for more info www.catsinthebag.org
Please let me know what happens - I'm praying you find her safe.

2. cats often go to ground when they are sick. you must check every |

single place they can squeeze into. I will pray for both of you. Don't give up. Take a dog to sniff them out if you have one.

3. Leave some tuna out where she can find it, |
|
...both in the house (in case she is still inside but just hiding) and outside the door you think she used to exit. Also outside put a place where she can hide and stay warm and wait, like a box with an old wool sweater or two in it.
Good luck!

I second the tuna; sick cats sometimes can't smell very well, but they can usually smell tuna. I hope she's home soon.
