I frequently mistake or have mistaken the first three choices for thunder - always wishful thinking.

Although I'm more likely to mistake thunder for an earthquake, and therefore miss watching a good storm at night.

I love thunderstorms, don't get enough of them here in Cal but there's no mistaking the distant rumble of thunder, one of my favorite sounds.
